Please do the instructions below IF BOTH the following are true:
- You are having trouble loading video and/or chat.
- The pink strip above says your browser's Java version is anything other 1.6.0_17 from Sun Microsystems Inc.
STEP 1: Uninstall the current Java installed.
Use the Add/Remove Programs (Windows XP and below) or Programs and Features (Windows Vista and later) utility in the Microsoft Windows Control Panel.
- Click Start.
- Select Settings.
- Select Control Panel.
- Double click the "Add/Remove Programs" or "Programs and Features" control panel icon.
- A window will pop up which displays a list of software on your system, including any Java software products that are on your computer. Select any that you want to uninstall by clicking on it, and then click the Remove/Uninstall button.
STEP 2: CLICK HERE to download the Java installer.
STEP 3:
Disable Java Auto-update.
- Go back to the Control Panel.
- Find the Java icon and double-click on it to open.
- On the window that pops up click on the Update tab.
- Make sure the box labeled Check for Updates Automatically is unchecked.
- Click ok to apply the change and close the window.
